This handmade teapot is crafted from the original purple clay found on Huanglong Mountain in China. Huanglong Mountain is located in Yixing, Jiangsu, China, and is a famous source of high-quality purple clay. The original purple clay from Huanglong Mountain is a precious treasure given to Yixing by nature. This mineral material is hidden deep underground. After a long period of geological evolution, it is rich in various minerals such as iron, silicon, and aluminum. Its texture is delicate and simple, and its color is deep and rich, usually showing a range of tones from purple-brown to dark purple.ย

During the production process, craftsmen also use the unique "Ming needle" technique to repeatedly scrape and polish the surface of the pot with tools such as ox horns and bamboo pieces to make the surface of the pot smoother and flatter with clear textures. This not only improves the beauty of the teapot but also makes it easier for the teapot to develop patina during use.

It is not only a teapot, but it can also become a work of art with great collection value. Collecting it is a deep support and inheritance relay for handmade products.

Nearly A Thousand Years Of Handcrafted Heritage

Experience the craftsmanship of Yixing teapots and their nearly millennium-long history. Each purple clay teapot is meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans, from selecting the raw purple clay to weathering, crushing, and aging, then shaping the clay sheets, forming the body, shaping the spout and handle, and finally, finishing with needlework and high-temperature firing. Each teapot is a work of art, offering an extraordinary tea-brewing experience.

Preserving the True Flavor of Tea

Yixing teapots are crafted from a porous material with a unique double-pore structure, yielding fine, dense pores. Brewing tea in a purple clay teapot preserves the tea's original flavor and aroma, capturing its true taste.

Yixing teapots are highly breathable, keeping the tea fresh even on scorching summer days.

With age, the surface of the teapot will become increasingly luminous, exuding an elegant charm. Over time, through repeated use and care, it will gradually develop a warm, lustrous patina.

LONGEVITY

A well-made Yixing Zisha teapot can last a lifetime, making it a worthwhile investment for serious tea drinkers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can we boil the water in a zisha teapot?

No, it is not recommended to boil water directly in a zisha teapot. These teapots are traditionally used for steeping tea, not for boiling water.

Do we put hot water in this teapot with the tea and then serve it?

Yes, the typical usage of a zisha teapot involves pouring hot water into the teapot along with tea leaves, allowing them to steep, and then serving the brewed tea.

How do I clean my teapot?

To clean your teapot, rinse it with hot water after each use, avoiding the use of soap or abrasive cleaners, as these can affect the flavor of your tea. Allow the teapot to air dry completely before storing it.

Can I use my zisha teapot for different types of tea?

Yes, you can

How should I store my zisha teapot when not in use?

Store your zisha teapot in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent any potential damage to the clay. It's also a good idea to store it with the lid off to allow for proper ventilation and to prevent any moisture buildup.
